New Orleans, summed up in about 12 oz.
Dry winter hands, henna tattoos, and a restaurant dedicated solely to friend dough and powdered sugar– 2 out of 3 say it was a great weekend.

F as in Friday! D as in Donut!
What a better way to teach your children to read than with the happiest fod on earth? Thank you, Jen and Finn for making my morning just that much better.

This article raises so many questions in my brain
Like, is it liquid-filled, or is it Cheerwine flavored whipped cream?
Do the donuts simultaneously curb your craving AND hydrate you?

The Krispy Kreme Challenge: the celebration
I don't know what came over me (perhaps my love of donuts my boyfriend?) but in the days leading up to the KK Challenge, I decided to make trophies to celebrate the guys' efforts.
Who knew that rendering a donut into an incombustible mass would be such hard work?
Who also thought about the fact that the LAST thing that two people who just ate a dozen donuts would want to see is... another donut?

The Krispy Kreme Challenge: the backstory
For all the SERIOUS runners out there, in Raleigh there's this thing called The Krispy Kreme Challenge each year that consists of running 2 miles, eating a dozen donuts (without throwing up) and running 2 miles to the finish line.
My boyfriend and his good friend were running it, so I was there on the frontline capturing the true grit of the event. Of course, I missed them eating (and not puking), but there's always next year, right guys??
PS. This event is strictly for charity of course, not for Krispy Kreme higher-ups to laugh at the calorie consumption of the Raleigh public.
