I mean: hormones coupled with a sea of gifts and women's eyes on you and you're going to CUT into a cake publicly to find out the sex of your baby?! Just as long as it never becomes the baby shower invitation designer's responsibility to reveal the sex, I guess I'm off the hook. But still... way to potentially ruin a good slice of cake.

J'aime mes amis
I needed to find some French images for a work project and while doing so I took a quick sentimental time-out to remember my reunion in Paris with my dear friends Jenny and Tom for our 52nd Tuesday shot in 2009. I can't wait for our next reunion come September 24 when Jenny will be photographing my wedding!
Now onto finding a location in Raleigh so that Jenny can recreate this shot for me. Any thoughts?

Miniature photo gallery, take 3 (literally this time)
Anyone who knows me knows my love of miniatures. And this time at the Furniture Market, I was able to combine my passion with a practical application: showcasing the details in our furniture for my ongoing photo gallery exhibit.
I'm including a few of my favorite shots and the brilliant write-up that Anna wrote for the exhibit. Since she knows my brain so well, she was able to bridge the gap between my (sometimes) wacky ideas and getting others to understand them as well.

Cotton: Week 3
I haven't seen where Staci's overachieving cotton sprouts have gotten this week but my little late bloomers have finally made a showing. Perhaps because they feel cozier in their new home. Thanks, Razor, for sharing.
Note: Yes, I still need a tan.
